Arsenal back on top of the table

Arsenal moved back on top of the table after a 3-2 win over Liverpool at the Emirates stadium .

Bukayo Saka’s penalty was enough to seal the that take the gunners to 24 points one above Manchester City.

Arsenal got off to a perfect start when Gabriel Martinelli put them ahead after 58 seconds but Liverpool responded with a  striker Darwin Nunez goal.

Saka restored Arsenal’s lead in first-half added time after Martinelli broke clear on the counter-attack only for Liverpool to level once more eight minutes after the break .

Liverpool, who felt they were denied a penalty when defender Gabriel handled in the first half, felt a further sense of injustice when Thiago Alcantara was penalized for a challenge on Gabriel Jesus with 14 minutes remaining, with Saka coolly converting from the spot.

At Goodison Park Cristiano Ronaldo scored his club career goal number 700 as his strike saw Manchester United edge past Everton by two goals to one.

In other matches Crystal palace beat Leeds united 2-1 and Wetsham saw off Fulham 3-1.
