KCB and Prisons volleyball ladies begin campaign on a high

Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) volleyball team led a good outstanding start at African Women’s Club Volleyball Championship in Tunisia with a spectacular 3-0 victory over Asec Mimosas of Ivory Coast.

Kenya prisons beat National Alcohol of Ethiopia by three sets to nothing.

The 11-day tournament has attracted 16 teams with Kenya’s other representative being Kenya Pipeline .

The win enhanced their chances of topping pool ‘C’ after they won 3-0 (25-9,25-18,25-20) against Chief Naval of Nigeria in their first match on Sunday.

KCB last won the title in 2006 under coach Paul Bitok who is now the technical director.

Both 2007 and 2008 saw the Japheth Munala tutored KCB bag silver
