Newcastle top january signings spending 113 million pounds

Transfer window closed on Monday night with Newcastle annoucning their intent to escape relegation.

The Eddie Howe side has brought in Kieran Tripper from Atletico Madrid for 13.5 million pounds , Chris wood from Burnley for 25 million pounds , Bruno Guimaraes from Lyon for 33 million pounds and Matt Targett on loan from Aton Villa .

Dan Burn from Brighton came in late in the window with the magppies parting with 17 million pounds .

Everton have signed Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek on loan until the end of the season.

Van de Beek was allowed to leave Old Trafford by interim boss Ralf Rangnick after struggling for game time.

Van de Beek has started only four Premier League matches since joining United from Ajax for £35m in 2020, and none this season.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will have a medical at Barcelona after the club agreed a free-transfer signing from Arsenal.

The 32-year-old Gabon striker has not played for the Gunners since a disciplinary breach in December has scored 92 goals in 163 games since a £56m arrival from Borussia Dortmund in 2018.

Barcelona feared the move was dead earlier on transfer deadline day even though Aubameyang had flown to Spain.

Manchester City have signed Argentina forward Julian Alvarez from River Plate for 17m euros. .The 22-year-old has agreed a five-and-a-half-year deal with City but will remain at the Argentine champions on loan until July.

River president Jorge Brito said the Premier League champions met a release clause in Alvarez’s contract. Alvarez has scored 36 goals in 96 appearances for River and won six international caps.
