Manchester City are EPL champions after Manchester United lost 1-2 to Leicester

Manchester city are English premier league champions after neighbors United lost 1-2 to Leicester City on Tuesday night.

The loss put  City 10 points clear with three matches to play meaning United can only manage 79 points and city are on 80.

Leicester climb to third and Chelsea drop to fourth with a game in hand .

“This has been a season and a Premier League title like no other,” said Pep Guardiola.

“We will always remember this season for the way we won. I am so proud to be the manager here and of this group of players.” he added.

It is the sixth time the Premier League title was decided at Old Trafford – the most of any venue, and three of which have been for other sides.

It is City’s second trophy in a little over two weeks after they beat Tottenham to claim the Carabao Cup.

And they are also in their first Champions League final after beating Paris St-Germain to set up the tie against Chelsea on 29th May.

Since being taken over by the Abu Dhabi Group in September 2008, City have won 12 cups .

They are now set to lift the Premier League trophy after their final game of the season against Everton on 23 May.
