Arsenal get North-London bragging rights as Man. United edge West ham

Arsenal came from behind to win the north London derby against Tottenham hotspur but remain 10th on the table .

The loss means the Jose Mourinho men will struggle to make the top four.

The Gunners were superior until a Spurs rally in the closing stages but fell behind to a piece of genius from Erik Lamela who scored with a rabona kick.

 Martin Odegaard equalized just before the break and Alexander Lacazette scored a controversial penalty to hand gunners the win.

Spurs’ day got worse when Lamela was sent off for a second yellow card, shown by referee Michael Oliver with 14 minutes left.

But they almost snatched a point in the closing moments when Harry Kane’s free-kick bounced off the post.

Captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was dropped for the game for disciplinary reasons.

Spurs have now lost six and drawn four of their past 10 Premier League games at Arsenal and have now been beaten in nine league games this season.

The Portuguese Manager also insisted that the referee made a wrong call to award the penalty for the Arsenal winner.

” The referee made a wrong decision , the VAR confirmed the wrong decision from the referee.” Said Mourinho .

Spurs are now six points off the champions league bracket with 45 points and next plays Aston Villa on Sunday .

Manchester United needed a Craig Dawson own goal to overcome West Ham 1-0  and strengthen their grip on a Champions League place.

The win restore second place for Manchester united who had dropped to third after Leicester thumped Sheffield United 5-0 .
