Kylian Mbappe scored a hat-trick to help his PSG side thrash Barcelona 4-1 in the first leg of the last 16 champions league tie at Camp Nou.
Messi opened the scoring from the penalty spot but the Frenchman Mbappe leveled matters shortly after.
He then scored a second in the second half before Moise Keane added the third. Brilliant Mbappe proved too much for the Barca defense who could not contain him as he scored his third and the fourth for PSG to complete the rout.
The big question now remains if the Nou Camp side can overturn the tie on 10th of March as they did in 2017.
That year Barcelona came 4-0 down from France before they mounted one of the biggest come back of the UEFA champions league history to beat PSG 6-1 in Spain .
The odds are however against Barcelona who are not doing well in the domestic league playing catch up to Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid .
PSG might also be welcoming back Neymar and Angel Di Maria who are out injured, meaning goals may be be more than what was experienced in Spain.
