Thunder goes down four times in BAL with remaining two games untill end of tournament

The Nairobi City Thunder basketball team is facing a tough challenge in the Basketball Africa League after losing their fourth game in a row to Al Ahli Tripoli 104- 91.

This defeat makes it harder for them to reach the playoffs, as they must win their final two games and rely on other game results.

The team struggled on defense, allowing Al Ahli to score easily and maintain a big lead throughout the match.

The win for Al Ahli Tripoli saw them record a perfect 4-0 victory and become the first team in the Nile Conference to book a ticket for the playoffs finals scheduled for Pretoria, South Africa, June 6-14.

The Libyan champions took control of three of the four quarters, winning 32-24, 24-17, 27-18, before the Kenyan champions won the last quarter 32-21.

Al Ahli will join Al Ittihad (Egypt), Rivers Hoopers (Nigeria), 2022 BAL champion US Monastir (Tunisia), the defending champion Petro de Luanda (Angola) and Kriol Star (Cape Verde) when the BAL Playoffs tip off at SunBet Arena in Pretoria, South Africa on June 6.

Their journey continues this weekend with two crucial games that will decide their fate in the league with MBB (2-2) taking on Nairobi City Thunder (0-4) and Al Ahli Tripoli (4-0) facing APR (2-2).
