The Catholic Church has denied reports that His Eminence Cardinal John Njue has passed away.
In a statement Reverend Wallace Ng’ang’a, Auxiliary Bishop confirmed that the claims are false and urged Kenyans to disregard the “baseless rumors” and to refrain from sharing unverified information, especially concerning sensitive topics.
Earlier, reports circulated online that the Cardinal had allegedly passed away, with the topic trending in Kenya for the better part of the morning.
Bishop Nganga emphasized that any official updates regarding Cardinal Njue’s health would be communicated through the church’s official channels.
