Gachagua Calls for Prayers for President Ruto to Choose the Right Team

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has  expressed support for President William Ruto’s decision to dissolve his Cabinet. Speaking  during the burial of Bishop Allan Kiuna in Thindigua, Kiambu county the deputy president emphasized the need for prayer as the President seeks new leaders.

Gachagua highlighted the importance of appointing leaders who will uphold respect for the people of Kenya and effectively fulfill their responsibilities.

“I want to ask the church and all Christians to pray for our president to pick the right people,” he stated.

“A leader is as good as a team that supports that leader that is why we fully support him,” he said.

“Our president needs your prayers. Are you going to pray for him? I am sure God will be merciful to him, he will get God’s favour to pick a good team to put our country on the right trajectory,” he added.

Ruto dismissed Thursday last week all Cabinet Secretaries save for Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.

He stated that he would engage in extensive consultations across different sectors and political formations and with other Kenyans at large.

“During this process, the operations of government will continue uninterrupted under the guidance of Principal Secretaries and other relevant officials,” he said.

Gachagua’s remark comes a few days after Ruto also appealed to the church to pray for him as he reconstituted the cabinet.
