Citam unveils Buruburu assembly set to host upto 5,000 congregants

The Christ Is The Answer Ministry (CITAM) church yesterday dedicated their newest sanctuary located in Buruburu, Makadara constituency.

The dedication service which marked the church’s 18th anniversary saw thousands trickle in to occupy the 4,300-seater sanctuary, with some reports stating that at least 5,000 congregants were present.

The dedication service was also graced by Makadara Member of Parliament George Aladwa, who shared images, speaking to the congregation.

Reportedly, the  church ran the building campaign under the theme “Together in Generosity”, with a target of Ksh2.5 billion to settle 24 assemblies in Kenya that still worship in tents.

Speaking to the congregants, CITAM Presiding Bishop Calisto Odede urged for the prominence of the presence of the Lord above everything else in the new sanctuary.

”Lord, take your place. Take your place, because without the software, the hardware is ineffective. The software that we have is none other than the holy presence of God that we could have a magnificent building.”

The church’s financial records for the year 2024, which are available to the public, showed that it had made an overall income of KSh 2.4 billion.

This income included all the branches, with CITAM Valley Road taking the lead with Ksh404 million, followed closely by CITAM Woodley with Ksh253 million.

CITAM Karen followed with Ksh215 million, then CITAM Thika Rd with Ksh146 million, CITAM Buruburu with Ksh127 million and CITAM Ngong’ with Ksh104 million in that order. The other branches contributed to the remaining Ksh1.15 billion.
