Kenya Hosts 25th Edition of Medexpo, Spotlighting Innovation in Health Sector.Nairobi, Kenya – May 14, 2025
A monumental stride has been made in the Kenya’s healthcare sector with the official opening of the 25th Medexpo Kenya 2025, the country’s premier international trade exhibition for medical and healthcare products and services.
The highly anticipated event was inaugurated by Hon. Dr. Tom Menge, Director of the Directorate of Health Products and Technologies at the Ministry of Health, at the Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi.
The opening ceremony, drew key stakeholders from the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and technology industries, alongside government officials, investors, and international exhibitors.
Speaking during the launch, Dr. Menge lauded the event’s role in positioning Kenya as a regional hub for medical innovation and investment.
“Medexpo Kenya has played a pivotal role over the years in strengthening our health systems by facilitating access to cutting-edge technologies, building partnerships, and attracting foreign direct investment in health,” he noted.
Now in its 25th year, Medexpo has grown into a critical platform for local and international players to showcase advancements in medical equipment, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, hospital infrastructure, and e-health solutions.
This year’s edition features exhibitors from over 30 countries, reflecting strong global interest in East Africa’s expanding healthcare market.
Organizers emphasized the event’s theme of “Driving Healthcare Innovation and Access in Africa,” underlining the urgent need for inclusive health solutions in the wake of global health challenges and rapid technological advancement.
The expo will run for three days, offering exhibitions, product launches, panel discussions, and business-to-business networking sessions designed to foster trade partnerships and knowledge exchange.
