Trump’s running mate JD Vance accepts nomination at RNC

Donald Trump’s vice-presidential pick, JD Vance, has committed to advocating for working-class Americans, whom he believes have been “cast aside and forgotten” by the Democrats. The Ohio senator introduced himself to millions of Americans at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, highlighting his humble Midwest roots and criticizing “career politicians” like President Joe Biden.

In his address, Vance asserted that Trump is the “last best hope” for Americans, presenting a stark contrast between their campaign and the current Democratic administration.

Trump and Vance will challenge the Democratic ticket of President Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris in the upcoming November election, positioning themselves as the champions of the working class and promising to bring change to Washington.

Trump and his running mate will challenge the Democratic White House ticket, currently Mr Biden and his Vice-President, Kamala Harris, in November’s election.

Mr Vance, 39, is hoping to become one of the youngest vice-presidents in US history.

In the speech, he charted his journey from a difficult childhood in small-town Ohio to the US Marines, Yale Law School, and finally the US Senate.
