Sudi Fires Back at Malala Over Gag Order

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has dismissed United Democratic Alliance  Secretary General Cleophas Malala, criticizing his qualifications shortly after Malala revealed that he had written to certain party members regarding their harsh political stances related to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s alleged isolation within the ruling party.

In a statement on X, Sudi described Malala as a “glorified MCA” who is unfit to be the Secretary General of President William Ruto’s party.

“Elevated MCA suffering from illusory superiority, thinking he matches Raphael Tuju’s calibre,” stated Sudi.

This dismissal came in response to Malala’s order directing several politicians, including Sudi, to cease their attacks against Deputy President Gachagua or face disciplinary action.

“My attention has been drawn to the fact that certain individuals continue to show blatant disrespect to the party leadership, including the Presidency. This behaviour is unacceptable and will not be tolerated within the realms of our Party, read the letter in part

The UDA Secretary General also criticized Cabinet Secretaries Moses Kuria (Public Service) and Kipchumba Murkomen (from the Transport Ministry  for participating in political activities. Speaking upon his return from China, Malala emphasized that, by law, Cabinet Secretaries must remain apolitical and should focus on serving the people of Kenya.

“Hon. Moses Kuria, the Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Gender, and Affirmative Action, your primary responsibility is to serve the people within your docket. Should you wish to engage in politics, you are welcome to resign and join the political arena,” warned Malala.
