Jambojet has increased flights between Nairobi and Goma in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
the low cost carrier will now fly four times weekly to DRC on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
The increase comes at a time when the airline sees an opportunity to offer travelers convenient access to the Eastern DRC.
Jambojet CEO Karanja Ndegwa Said the 4th frequency will offer convenience to their customers, allowing more flexibility to their travel.
“With increased flight frequencies, we hope to enhance business relations between Kenya and the Democratic Republic of Congo by offering convenient, fast, and affordable air service.”
Since the inaugural flight to Goma in September 2021, the airline has experienced increased customer interest.
The route is popular for business travel, students, medical trips, and visiting relatives and friends.
The carrier flew over 1 million passengers in 2022, 37 percent more than in 2021.
The airline operates 8 routes from its primary hub in Nairobi to Mombasa, Kisumu, Malindi, Mombasa, Lamu, Eldoret, Diani, and Goma in the DRC.
