Guinea’s military Junta has ordered all banks to freeze all state related accounts, for them to secure the nation’s assets. This comes after the military successfully overthrew the government on Sunday and took hostage president Alpha Conde. This will result in the senior official of the government being denied access to the account.

The junta said the reason for their actions are to end corruption, human rights abuse and mismanagement. The regional commission block ECOWAS has set up a mission to hold talks with the Guinean government authorities to call for order in the western state constitutionally.
