A 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck South West Mexico last Tuesday near beach resort of Acapulco. thus resulted to continuous rock falls and rumbling buildings. This earthquake free area spread for 4km in the east-northeast of Los Órganos de San Agustín. In Mexico city, head alarms went up immediately the ground started shaking.
“Fortunately there hasn’t been serious damage,” the Mexican President said. “We have no information so far about the loss human lives,” he added.
The earthquake is said to attract tsunami in the area as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration initially issued a tsunami warning after the quake, but it has since been called off.
