769 patients have recovered from Covid-19 today, with 523 recoveries from Home-Care and 246 from different hospitals countrywide raising the total recoveries to 183,980.
However the country reports a positivity rate of 12.4 percent after 503 new cases were reported from a sample size of 4,060 .
The total confirmed positive cases now stand at 194,310.
11 patients succumbed to the virus pushing the cumulative fatalities to 3,811.
As of today, 1,636,475 vaccines have been administered across the country, with the total first doses standing at 1,040,665 while the second doses are 595,810.
Meanwhile, Kiambu County Government says the rise in Covid-19 infections in the county is alarming.
Kiambu Governor James Nyoro says the county’s public health system is overwhelmed with increased hospitalization.
He attributed the rise in infections to the fourth Covid-19 wave and political gatherings.
He however called on the locals to adhere to covid-19 safety protocols to contain further spreading of the virus.
Kiambu has recorded 20 infections in today’s reported Covid-19 cases coming fourth after Nairobi with 334 cases, Kilifi with 84 and Nakuru with 21 cases.
