Two candidates eying the IEBC commissioners job have appeared before the selection panel today.
Dr. Abdi Razak and Anne Mwikali Kiusya were the first to state their case in the twelve days interviews.
While replying to an interview question on the risks of hiring temporary staff during the general elections, Kiusya suggested that necessary measures such as signing of contracts should be put in place to ensure the staff are accountable.
On updating the register of voters ahead of the elections, Mwikali noted that the IEBC is tasked to remove and add new voter details before the voting day.
Dr. Razak who is a Moi university lecturer said he is ready to resign from his public engagement at the University, should he be considered for the seat.
Earlier, Abdallah Mohammed who was the 1st candidate scheduled for interview withdrew from the oral interview.
The candidate is said to have forged the degree certificate that he used during the previous interviews
