Gor Mahia unveils new coach

Jan, 11th 2021 – Gor mahia has unveiled their new coach Carlos Manuel Van Pinto. The Portuguese national takes over from Roberto Oliviera  ‘Robertinho’ whose stint at Kogalo was cut short on mutual Consent. Chairman Ambrose Rachier says they decided to part  ways with Robertinho after he failed to meet CAF standards to handle a team in the champions league.

Ambrose said, “We had to source for a new coach after Oliveira had to go back to Brazil to get some training which is to take about three months.”

Robertinho was to go back and upgrade his license to A class but Rachier has intimated that the arrangement would take longer than expected.

The new coach will now handle Gor mahia in the CAF confederations cup and the league after Posta rangers coach Sammy Omollo ‘Pamzo’ stood in in the continental stage assignment. 

Van Pinto said, “I’m here to work with the team to achieve the best at all levels. I am young and ambitious and l want the team to be ambitious so that we can achieve what we want as a team.”

Gor mahia will play  Napsa stars of Zambia with the winner making it to the group stages.
