Jan, 7th 2020 – US President Donald Trump has repeated his election fraud claims after a rally that was held at the US capitol. He reiterated that the election had been fraudulent even on the 3rd November 2020.
Following his nearby rally his supporters entered the US capitol disrupting a joint session of Congress being held to confirm Biden’s victory, an event that saw a woman shot dead.
Speaking to his supporters’ whom he had incited to raid the congress, he asked them to retreat and go back home as the state would need to forge a way forward.
Trump said, “It was a landslide election, and everyone knows it, especially the other side. but you have to go home now, we have to have peace, we have to have law and order, we have to respect our great people of law and order. We don’t want anybody hurt, It’s a very tough period of time, there’s never been a time where such a thing happened where they could take it away from all of us, from me from you from our country. It was a fraudulent election.”
On his Twitter account, he asked his supporters to respect the law and order and remain peaceful.
I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order – respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 6, 2021
However, according to a video on twitter, his supporters did not heed to his advice.
The joint session of Congress confirming Mr. Biden’s election win has resumed after it was suspended by the mayhem.
