Jan, 4th 2021 – AC Milan ensured city rivals Inter’s stay at the top of Serie A was a brief one despite playing much of their win at Benevento with 10 men. Franck Kessie’s penalty put Milan ahead before Sandro Tonali’s knee-high lunge on Artur Ionita was changed from yellow to red by the video assistant referee.
However, Rafael Leao curled in a second to move unbeaten Milan a point clear.
In the other match, Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice and created another goal as Juventus beat Udinese 4-1.
Ronaldo opened the scoring with a trademark drive, after Aaron Ramsey’s pass, before threading a through ball for Federico Chiesa to score.
Ronaldo’s second goal took his tally this season to 14 from only 11 league games. Marvin Zeegelaar scored a stoppage-time consolation for Udinese before Paulo Dybala added a fourth for Juve.
Juventus however remain 5th on the table 10 points behind leaders Milan but ANdrea Pirlo’s men have a game in hand. Inter are second, Roma third and Napoli fourth.
