Manchester United moves to 6th on the table

Dec, 18th 2020 – Manchester United moved up to sixth on the English premier league table after a 3-2 victory at Sheffield united. The Ole Gunnar charges had to once against come from behind  after Goalkeeper Dean Henderson clearance was blocked by Oliver Burke allowing David McGoldrick to tap in.

Rashford equalized after 26 minutes and Anthony Martial got the second before the break. Rashford made it three after the break after some fine moves started by Paul Pogba but McGoldrick got a second for Sheffield’s to set up a  nervy ending. In the other tie Bunley held Aston villa to a goalless draw.

Solskjaer gave an honest assessment of Hernderson’s overall display after the final whistle admitting that the net minder is still developing his all round game before praising him for his reaction to an early setback.

Speaking to reporters, he said, “The good, bad and the ugly, maybe in a different order. He is always learning. He has probably been looking forward to coming back here and to get from that start shows his character for the rest of the game.”

When asked if he was pleased with his triumph at Bramall lane he responded, “It could have been more comfortable. We were a little sloppy at 3-1 up. The corner that led to the second goal wasn’t a corner but when it goes in it was really difficult because they are a handful.”

I thought all three goals were excellent. I wanted to test them here today, we knew it was going to be a physical test. The fight, we are going to get kicked. It is one of these games the boys will learn from,” he added.
