ODM leader Raila Odinga has assured Mombasa Muslim leaders that the BBI recommendations can be entrusted in addressing the issues affecting them. Speaking in Mombasa county on Sunday, Odinga said the document seeks to improve the current constitution. He however ruled out further changes to the document.
A section of political leaders from Western Kenya on Sunday converged in Bungoma for the launch of BBI signature collection. Led by Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, his Bungoma counterpart Wangamati and devolution CS wamalwa, the leaders praised the document, while urging the locals to participate in the signature collection drive. Oparanya assured the locals that the document would bring about development.
In Nairobi County leaders proposing the BBI told Deputy President William, to not only support the President, but also support the document and the handshake.
Speaking in Nairobi, Kilimani Primary school during the signature collection drive, Nairobi Women Rep Esther Passaris also told Ruto’s allies to come out and support the document.
