Nov, 23rd 2020 – Liverpool held out for 3-0 win over Leicester City despite having a number of first team players out due to injury and coronavirus.
Johnny Evans helped the reds with an own goal and Diogo Jota once again stepped up for the second for the Jurgen Klopp side. Roberto Firmino headed in the third late to wrap up the win.
The win lifts Liverpool to second on the table with 20 points, the same as toppers Tottenham Hotspur. Liverpool has set a new club record of 64 top-flight home matches unbeaten as Diogo continued a remarkable Anfield streak of his own.
Diogo made it 2-0 just before half-time, making him the first Reds player in history to score in his first four Anfield league games and from there it was plain sailing.
In the other matches Arsenal played out to a barren draw at Leeds United with Pepe being shown red for head-butting a Leeds player. Leeds were wasteful in front of goal in a match that Arsenal struggled all through with only two shots on target.
Early on Calvert Lewin scored twice as Everton returned to winning ways to beat Fulham 3-2. Westham dispatched Sheffield United one nil.
