There is no evidence to support the president’s claims of fraud or corruption in the mail ballots. His lead in some of the states like Georgia and Pennsylvania is narrowing as votes are being counted. While trump termed the ballots as fraudulent, Democrats are more likely to have voted by mail. His competitor Joe Biden, actively encouraged his supporters to vote by mail while Trump discouraged it.

Before the Wisconsin race was called, Trump campaign had said that it would call for a recount which under Wisconsin law, a recount can be requested if the margin between the top two candidates is less that one percent point.

Mr. Trump’s campaign manager, Bill Stepien said in a statement, “the president is well within the threshold to request a recount and we will immediately do so.”

He claimed that the Trump campaign had not been given meaningful access to several counting venues in Michigan and that they had filed a suit in the Michigan Court of claims to halt counting until access was granted

The margins have however narrowed in the counts in both Georgia and Pennsylvania as votes are still being tallied with Joe Biden closing in on 270 electoral college votes needed for victory. Mr. Biden in a speech in Wilmington said, “I’m not here to declare that we’ve won, but I am here to report that when the count is finished, we believe we will be the winners.”
