Nov 3rd 2020 – Wiper Party Leader, also former Vice President, Kalonzo Musyoka, arrived in Juba, South Sudan, on Monday, to represent President Uhuru Kenyatta, at the National Dialogue Conference.
South Sudan President Salva Kiir, will later today, open the conference, which will continue for two weeks.
The National Dialogue, aims at addressing governance systems, economy, national security, land issues and social cohesion in South Sudan.
President Kiir announced plans to have the Conference back in December 2016, aiming at ending all forms of violence in the country.
National Dialogue consultations had already started early in November 2017, at the local and regional level
Other notable leaders expected to arrive in South Sudan, include, African Union Commission Chairman Moussa Faki Mahamy, and the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) – Special Envoy to South Sudan-Ismail Wais .
