Brian ‘Mandela’ Onyango signs for Masandawana.

Harambee Stars defender Brian Onyango better known as Brian Mandela has joined South Africa’s side Mamelodi Sundowns on a 3 year deal .

Brian was part of the national team that managed a 2-1 win over Zambia but has been unattached for some time.

“This is a new challenge and am happy to be back in South Africa” Said Brian.

He captained the stars team in the absence of skipper Victor Wanyama.

He has also been named in the provisional Harambee stars squad by new coach Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee for the AFCON qualifiers against Comoros.

The 26-year-old started his career at Posta Rangers in the 2010 season and after a year signed for Tusker FC where he played for two years before he moved to Santos in South Africa.
