Gor’s New Coach Oliveira Leads His First Training Session

Oct 13th, 2020 – Gor Mahia new Coach Roberto Oliveira, attended his first training session and says he is ready to lead the KPL champions to more glory. “Gor Mahia has won everything locally and its time to make a mark in the continent,” says Oliviera.

The coach arrived at the weekend and was introduced to the team by chairman Ambrose Rachier. He however did not do much with the team that is still to begin full training ahead of the new season.

Meanwhile, Rachier has expressed concern over the Ministry of Health delay, to allow the resumption of sport in the country that he says will affect his team’s preparations for the CAF champions league which kick off next month. 

The Ministry of Sports, is yet to make any announcement on the resumption of contact sports even after schools reopened on Monday.

Non-contact sports like golf and athletics have however been given a go-ahead six months, after the lockdown of all sporting events in the country due to the COVID 19 pandemic
