Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden has stated that the second televised debate should be put on hold if President Donald trump is still infected. Biden is advocating that they follow strict guidelines as too many people have been infected and it is a very serious problem.
“I think if he still has Covid, we shouldn’t have a debate,” Biden said on Tuesday. His statement comes after the virus spread further with the White house adviser Stephen Miller and top military officials contracted the virus. US public health guidelines dictate that Trump remains in isolation.
In a statement, Mr Miller said he had been “testing negative every day” until Tuesday, adding that he was now in quarantine. His wife, Katie Miller, who is Vice-President Mike Pence’s spokeswoman, contracted the virus back in May and later recovered.
