DPP and DCI allowed to enjoin in the Mwilu case

The High Court has allowed the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), and the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), to join in the ongoing, case on Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu.

Earlier today, Judge Weldon Korir further directed the DPP, to file his response in the Mwilu case in seven days.

In August, Mwilu had moved to court, to stop the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), from proceedings, with the disciplinary hearing against her, saying, two of the members were biased.

The DPP, then accused Justice Mwilu, of  interfering in the case, and delaying it.

In the meantime, orders stopping the JSC proceedings have been extended.

The matter, in which Mwilu is accused of gross misconduct will be mentioned on 17th of November.
