US President Donald Trump and the first lady have confirmed that they have tested positive for covid-19. President Trump now falls into the highest risk category for serious complications from the disease. They are currently in quarantine at the white house.
This is following the presidents adviser MS. Hope Hicks testing positive. Ms. Hicks travelled with the president on Airforce 1 without wearing a mask and in another instance in close proximity to Trump during a rally in Minnesota. According to the White House Physician Dr. Sean Conley “The White House medical team and I will maintain a vigilant watch, and I appreciate the support provided by some of our country’s greatest medical professionals and institutions,”
Trump is however worried about how his quarantine will affect the second presidential debate arrangements scheduled for the 15th October 2020. The White House has issued a new schedule to reflect several canceled events, including a fundraiser in Washington and a campaign rally in Florida.
