Intercounty Passenger Train Travels Resume

Oct 2nd, 2020 – The Kenya Railways Corporation(KRC) says the intercounty passenger train from Nairobi to Mombasa and back, will resume today. 

In a statement Managing Director, Philip Mainga added that the Suswa services will also resume on Fridays and Sunday. 

This is as a result of customers’ requests. There have been several stakeholders engagements to see it happen,” he said.

The intercounty stops at Athi River, Emali, Kibwezi, Mtito Andei, Voi, Miasenyi and Mariakani stations, announced the full resumption of passenger service. 

The intercounty will be leaving at 8.15 am and the express train at 3.15 pm.  

Mainga added that the commuter train from Embakasi to the CBD has resumed services with the morning trip leaving Embakasi at 7.05 am and evening train from the CBD leaving at 6 pm.
