Sept 30th, 2020 – The Football Kenya Federation has signed a sponsorship to transmit live all FKF Premier League matches starting with the 2020-21 season.
FKF President Nick Mwendwa, says the deal will see the Chinese-based TV channel air all matches in the top-flight, national teams, both men and women, and also 30 matches from the lower-tier league.
“FKF PL is now back on TV. Seven-year deal, worth 1.1million dollars,” Mwendwa wrote on his Twitter.
“Get your StarTimes decoder and enjoy watching the new FKF PL this season. And one match per weekend will be on a free to air channel of their choice,” added Mwendwa.
The deal is worth 110 million shillings per year to run for seven years.
The league is set to begin towards the end of October if the COVID 19 regulations will be eased on the resumption of contact sports in the country.
