53 principals within vocational training institutions have been transferred by the government, as colleges prepare to reopen countrywide. Education cabinet secretary, Professor George Magoha has been distributing the transfer letters since Monday affecting those who have been stationed in an institution for too long.
The principals will begin to report to their new designations tomorrow . The principal secretary in the state department for vocational and technical training, Dr Julius Juan says they are focusing on the transformation of TVET to ensure the youth delight in it.
Other Principals have had the privilege of a promotion. Among them, Rift Valley Technical Training Institute (RVTTI) Principal Edwin Tarno now heads Kenya Technical Training College (KTTI). This is following the tremendous transformation into a centre of excellence Edwin brought at RVTTI, making it a benchmarking centre for other institutions.
