September 16th 2020 – Tottenham Hotspur, are in talks to agree to re-sign Wales Forward Gareth Bale, from Real Madrid on loan.
Bale’s representative Jonathan Barnett, the forward’s long-term agent, said on Tuesday that discussions were underway regarding a possible move.
“Gareth still loves Spurs,” said Barnett. “We are talking Spurs, Real and Bale’s camp. It’s where he wants to be.”
Dating back to July, Barnett however had different thoughts, as he was adamant that his client was ‘going nowhere’, despite his increasingly peripheral status at Madrid.
But now Tottenham are closing in on a loan move for Bale, who earns a reported £600,000-a-week in the Spanish capital.
Personal terms will have to be agreed upon with Bale, before the deal can be finalized.
Bale, 31, left Spurs to join Real for a then-world record £85m in 2013 and has since scored more than 100 goals and won four Champions League titles.
Real Madrid and Tottenham have done business in the past with the likes of Luka Modric, Rafael Van der Vaart, and of course with Gareth Bale. It’s obvious the two clubs have a good working relationship and with Mourinho as manager, thus there is a greater connection and likelihood that both the Reguilon and Bale deals will go through.
